What we do
AKV processes 340,000 tons of potatoes during the potato campaign from late August to December. The annual output is 80,000 to 90,000 tons of native potato starch and 4,000 tons of protein, extracted from the potato juice.
Today, we sell more than 95% of our native starch production to export markets around the world, primarily to the food industry.
Our protein is a high-quality source of nutrition in feed for piglets and other livestock.
The remaining side streams – 45,000 tons of potato pulp and 20,000m3 of protamylasse – are used for cattle feed/ biogas production and as a fertiliser, respectively.
